New Biography – Sue Ryder: A Life Lived For Others

This new Sue Ryder biography written by Joanne Bogle was recently launched by the author at St Katherine’s Retreat House, Parmoor, UK.

This biography involves much more about her service with Special Operations in World War II, prison visiting in Germany in the post war years, long-haul relief work in countries around the world plus a life driven by a commitment to care for those in need.

The second section of the book lists the many countries where Sue Ryder worked, describing the various activities undertaken establishing homes, hospitals, settlements and initiatives to support the sick and disabled.

In this new biography, the story of Sue Ryder’s extraordinary life is told, a story of courage, dedication and as the title says a “A Life Lived For Others”.

Sue Ryder was born in 1924 and died in 2000.

She would be 100 in 2024 and this biography is the celebration of all her work.
