Walking to raise funds.

Late last year, before school finished for the holiday break, the Mt Blowhard students, their teachers and families walked from their school, along the road and through the paddocks to reach the top of Mt Hollowback. Cool drinks and icy-poles awaited them on their arrival at the summit. When refreshed all walked down the mountain to catch the awaiting bus to ride back to school.

Mount Blowhard is a small country Victorian primary school of sixty students who sponsor a resident at the Raphael Ryder-Cheshire Home in Dehradun which is situated at the foot hills of the Himalayas in Northern India. The students have been sponsoring for many years.

Each year their Walk-a-thon is the way they raise the money for their sponsorship.

This year members of the Ballarat Ryder-Cheshire Support Group walked with the students some all the way and some met the at the paddock gate to climb up the mountain, really a large hill. The view from the top was spectacular.

Well done and thank-you Mt Blowhard Primary School!
