Vale Bill Dagg 14/12/1935 – 23/11/2023

Bill joined Rotary after a career in the Australian military with service in Papua New Guinea and Vietnam.

He was well known to many in Ryder-Cheshire in his role as the person in charge of the Rotary Donations in Kind store at West Footscray.  Many containers carrying much needed goods and aid for Klibur Domin have been dispatched under his supervision.

To quote Bill’s obituary in the Rotary DIK Update – “His trip to `East Timor in 2002 began his passion for helping the people of East Timor, and he later became the DIK East Timor Coordinator, beginning what has turned into a 20+ year dedication to helping the people of Timor.”

Much of that dedication has been in close co-operation with Ryder-Cheshire.  We are grateful indeed for his service and support.
