Ann Mills

4 November 1947 – 2 June 2025

Ann and her husband Rob were early volunteers at Klibur Domin (KD) arriving in January 2001.
Ann was subsequently manager from July to December that year, working hard to establish KD’s role in providing support to the people of Timor-Leste.   She was a powerhouse of practical energy, determination and good humour and contributed greatly to the early development of KD.

After finishing at KD Ann and Rob went on to spend two years at Baguia, Timor-Leste, where Ann taught English and together they made a range of contributions to the local community.

In the years since, Ann had been instrumental in taking groups of students from Chanel College in Gladstone, Queensland, where she worked, for immersion experience in Timor-Leste, always including time at KD.

Ann is remembered today by KD staff who knew her, and by all of us, with affection and respect.

May she rest in peace.
