Diwali Celebrations

Dwali

Our candle workshop achieved a remarkable sale of nearly 24,000 diyas. The introduction of a new packaging design was met with widespread appreciation, enhancing the product’s appeal.

Holi Celebrations

Celebrated with organic colours prepared by students and staff using natural ingredients like beetroot, spinach, and orange peel.  The training was organized by the local Doon Library that has a children’s section and plans are underway to introduce this as a vocational product offering next year.

Dental Health Camp

Organized by The Muse Charitable Dental Clinic, the month-long camp from 21 February to 21 March, provided free checkups and basic dental care to Raphael’s students and residents.

66th Founders’ Day

Raphael hosted its 66th Founders’ Day on 5th April. A dress rehearsal was held on 4th April for 100 children from other special schools. On the 5th, 100 students from regular schools attended the programme. The theme this year was ‘Saving the Environment’ and this was reflected in the exhibitions and cultural programme.

Shiv Sadan

Life at Shiv Sadan continues and the residents are keeping reasonably well despite everyone getting much older.  The fruit trees are beginning to burst with mangoes and jackfruit and the residents are keeping a careful eye on them. The Shiv Sadan homes have almost all been renovated and soon we will be adding a bathroom in every block so that they don’t have to walk out as they need to now. All blocks will also have water connections and the residents will not have to fill a bucket and carry it a distance.
