Bina Day
Bina and gone! Ballarat Junior Grammar School got there, after watching multiple weather websites and apps over the lead-up days, the school was able to forge through and undertake a successful Bina Day. Observing the students take responsibility for their stalls, manage money, select purchases carefully and communicate and cooperate is such a thrill, the learning experiences of Bina Day are many and they were on display everywhere. Congratulations and thank you to EVERYONE who helped make this year’s Bina Day such a wonderful day. We are always amazed by the excitement, energy and enthusiasm that surrounds this very special day. The school raised over $10,000 for a very worthy cause. The school’s guiding statement is ‘By children, for children’.
Ballarat Junior Grammar School has been sponsoring seven male residents at Raphael and now are looking forward to sponsoring three female residents. That will make a total of ten, thank you so much Ballarat Grammar Junior School for supporting ‘for the relief of suffering.’
Bina day is a very special day in the school’s calendar as it is named after the very first resident, Bina, that the school sponsored some 50 years ago.
